In my early twenties I daydreamed of my prince charming:
Loving, caring, handsome gentleman,
Bright teeth, fresh breath, in a nutshell he smells terrific!
My lover’s eyes were filled with love and admiration.

Genesis 2:21 ”And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” (King James Bible)

My romantic groom was funny. We talked heart-to-heart.
We got along as best friends, no arguments, just compliments,
He led me and cheered me up. I felt special. I respected him.
He was faithful, too smart to chase women.
I was his queen. He protected me. I really mattered to him and I felt secured.
He would never hesitate to die for me!

Ephesians 5:33 “So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. “ (New Living Translation Bible)

His qualities knew no limits but there was an issue.
Prince charming hadn’t showed up, yet.
Could any man fulfill my standards?
Were my criteria unrealistic?
I am still waiting for him almost two decades later…
Did he get lost somewhere?
I keep praying for him!
Hope, he isn’t already married!
Does prince charming really exist?
Wait a minute! I was dreaming of Jesus!
I unknowingly transferred Jesus’s attributes to my dream’s man.
Jesus is perfect in character and wisdom.

Luke 2:39-40 “When Joseph and Mary had done everything required by the Law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee to their own town of Nazareth. And the child grew and became strong; he was filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was on him.” (New International Version Bible)

He is the King of Kings above all princes charming.
The Lion of Judah is the Lover of my soul.

What a blessing that Jesus came to me in September 2001.
My faithful savior never failed me even when I messed up.
There is hope in Christ alone.
Thank you Jesus for being the one true God!

Please share with me if Jesus  lives within you so you don't need to rely on your earthly lover to be fulfilled?
